So how is it that MB technology came to exist and ultimately begin to satiate the modern conception of communication and expression? Robert Heilbroner, a prolific economist of the 20th century suggests that there is a linear progression of technology through time. With each invention being “bound by the constraints of knowledge and capability” of the age, and moving in an incremental and evolutionary sense, the origins of Micro-Blogging technology can be traced to the technology that not only made it possible, but probable to come into existence (Heilbroner, 1967).
