The Belly Bloom
We never end
Not within the arms of
Hell nor Heaven
But within the bosom of the earth
The womb of the mother.
Not within scripture or
Our fluorescent jungle
But atop the emblazoned Dawn
The uncertainty of Dusk.
Someday perhaps I will do more than know
Perhaps I will see.
And remember.
Recite its mantra between every breath I breathe.
Become the scribe with stenciled
words over cracks on the sidewalk old.
The flower that sleeps in the curls of your hair
And heart.
The love that grows within your belly, bloomed.
Someday, child of mine, you may See.
All that I love from Dawn to Dusk
All that I Breathe.
Inherit Thee.
